About Me

My name is Torie & I'm a ceramic artist & illustrator working in Circleville, Ohio. I create 100% handmade, small batch, functional art pieces printed with my own hand drawn illustrations. My work primarily focuses on the contrast of life & death. I'm inspired by the strange & unusual, the morbid, the fantastical, the macabre & the magical. 

The name Lost Petal Pottery comes from my love of preserved flora & fauna. I believe all cycles of nature are beautiful, even the ones that are unconventionally so. Death & decay are just as beautiful and inevitable as life & growth - It's all about perspective. What some people find morbid & bizarre, I see as a beautiful and inspiring.
